FHA Loan Limits for Hampton Roads Changes
With all the new hoopla over FHA decreasing loan limits Oct 1st, the new amounts are as follows for Hampton Roads cities:
Maximum FHA loan amounts for the area:
One family home up to $458,850
Two family home up to $587,400
Three Family home up to $710,050
Four Family Home $882,400
It makes since home prices declined so the loan price declined. FHA loans require a minimum 3.5% down. Virginia Housing Development Administration VHDA has a program that may allow buyers to finance the down payment creating a 100% loan program. Buyers must meet certain income and debt guidelines.
